THE QUESTION

“Premium, but approachable”

THE NEXT STEP

A clearer rule for the brief

The idea

Why this template exists.

A client wants the brand to feel “premium but approachable.” That sounds useful until you have to choose what goes on a homepage. Brand Bracket is a Notion workshop we are building for that conversation. The planned flow tests the preference in two contexts, records why a choice was made, and turns the discussion into a Decision Brief for client review.

Intended outcome
A Decision Brief the designer can review with the client: design principles, boundaries, context rules and questions still open.

How it is designed to work

The workflow we're building.

01

Start with the tension

Bring a broad or conflicting preference into a focused client conversation.

02

Change the context

Compare priorities in two concrete situations and record why they shift.

03

Review the brief

Turn the discussion into brief items, including unresolved questions.

Who it's for

Does this sound like your work?

  • You guide early visual direction for a founder or small client team.
  • Client adjectives are too broad to use as design criteria on their own.
  • You want a structured conversation before committing to visual work.

Worth knowing

Limits and current status.

  • Designed for one facilitator and one final client decision-maker, with an optional additional contributor.
  • Focused on early design direction; it is not a complete brand strategy, moodboard tool or voting system.
  • The template and public demo are still being developed and validated.

Common questions

Questions before release.

Is Brand Bracket available to buy?

Not yet. It is a technical prototype undergoing further product and user checks.

Can I view a demo?

A public walkthrough is planned. It will appear here only after the demo is ready to share.

Does it replace a full brand strategy process?

No. It focuses on turning ambiguous direction into context-aware design decisions.
